CalcIsland does not offer an account or a login. There is nothing to register, and there is no profile to delete.
Email updates (optional)
If you sign up for email updates, we collect only your email address. The list is stored and sent by Buttondown (buttondown.com) on our behalf, under Buttondown's privacy policy. After you sign up, you receive a confirmation email, and you are added only after you click the link in it. We email you when we publish a new guide on calcisland.com, and when tax-year figures on our calculators change. We do not sell your address or share it with advertisers. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your address deleted, email hello@calcisland.com.
Calculator inputs
Numbers you type into a calculator are computed in your browser. They are not sent to CalcIsland. The site is a set of pages built in advance and served as files.
Hosting logs
The host that serves the site may keep ordinary server logs, such as an IP address, a browser identifier, and the page requested, for security and operations. CalcIsland does not use those logs to build a profile of you.
Cookies
The calculators do not need cookies to run. Google Analytics sets cookies, as described below. If advertising is turned on later, a vendor may set cookies too.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure site usage.
Advertising
CalcIsland does not show advertisements today. Advertising, for example Google AdSense, may be used in the future. Third-party vendors, including Google, may then use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites.
